According to media reports, a Hindu temple in Bangladesh was vandalized in a new case of communal unrest, following days of violence unleashed by unidentified Muslim bigots who attacked the minority community’s places of worship during the Durga Puja celebrations over alleged blasphemy, prompting a minority group to declare a countrywide hunger strike.

Hindu temples and shops in Feni, about 157 kilometers from Bangladesh’s capital, were vandalized and robbed during fresh clashes on Saturday, which erupted after an attack on demonstrators protesting attacks on Durga Puja venues in several parts of the country, according to the Dhaka Tribune newspaper.
