In the midst of the ongoing crisis in the Punjab Congress, at least 32 MLAs, including four cabinet ministers, revolted against the chief minister and met in Chandigarh today to decide that a five-member delegation would try to meet with the Congress high command today to demand the resignation of Capt Amarinder Singh. They have yet to announce who would be the next chief minister.

All of these cabinet ministers and MLAs from Punjab Congress resident Navjot Singh Sidhu’s camp are skeptical that the party will be able to deliver on all of the promises made before the 2017 state assembly elections under Capt Amarinder’s leadership.
