After the Centre recently cut the excise duty on fuels, Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil demanded that the state government reduce the Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel.
Patil told reporters in Kolhapur that they have organized an agitation across Maharashtra to press for the demand, citing the fact that 11 states across the country, some of which are not even run by the BJP, have reduced gasoline VAT to bring relief to the common man.”Malik has confirmed that he bought land from 1993 Mumbai serial bombings criminals,” Patil remarked in response to a question about state minister Nawab Malik, who has hurled many claims against BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and others.
