The resentment of farmers against the new agricultural laws is increasing day by day. The farmers are not ready to back down from their demand for repeal of all three agricultural laws. In such a situation, politics has started between the ruling and opposition parties on agricultural laws.
BJP is starting Kisan Sammelan and Chaupal to raise public support on agricultural laws across the country. At the same time, the opposition has started a dharna at the village-village panchayat and district headquarters in support of the farmers. In this way, the opposition is preparing to bring the flaws of the law among the farmers. Overall, the politics of the parties and opposition on the issue of farmers seems to be intensifying.
BJP’s farmer Chaupal Seeing less scope for reconciliation with the farmers, BJP has pledged to convey the benefits of agricultural laws to the farmers across the country. BJP has announced to put chaupal in 700 places across the country. Through these chaupals, the BJP will work to remove misconceptions about agricultural laws and to make farmers count the benefits of the law so that the farmers can counter the movement. From BJP big leaders and Union ministers to BJP-ruled states, ministers will be involved in the Kisan Sammelan and Chaupal.
BJP’s conference in UP The BJP Kisan Sammelan in Uttar Pradesh will be inaugurated by former Union Minister and party in-charge of the state, Radha Mohan Singh from Basti district on Monday. Starting from 14 December, this farmers conference will run till 18 December. Radhamohan Singh will take part in the Kisan Sammelan in three to four districts every day. BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh said that confusion is being spread among farmers about the agriculture bill brought by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the parties which cheated the farmers while in power for decades, the same people are spreading confusion among the farmers about the historical laws today. In such a situation, it is our duty to explain the right things of law to the farmers. He said that the top priority of the Narendra Modi-led government at the center is village, poor, farmers and the new agricultural laws introduced by the central government are going to provide more opportunities and options to the farmers.
SP’s demonstration at district headquarters If the BJP is organizing a conference to mobilize public support on the agriculture law of the state, then the Samajwadi Party is standing in favor of the farmers. SP activists have started protests against agricultural laws at district headquarters across the state. However, in view of the SP’s protests, the administration has deployed a large number of police forces in all the districts. Many SP leaders are also being told that they are under house arrest. The Samajwadi Party office located at Kaiserbagh was converted into a camp. Samajwadi Party workers are reaching the office in Kaiserbagh in large numbers. In such a situation, the police has barricaded the Samajwadi Party office and surrounded it from all sides.
