On July 23, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa visited Commercial Street as part of a tour of Bengaluru to check the status of construction projects, particularly those undertaken under the Smart City program. After finishing his tour of Bengaluru, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa returned to his official house, ‘Krishna,’ where he briefed the press.
Following severe rains across Karnataka, he released a statement saying that he had instructed all district in-charge Ministers and MLAs to assist those impacted by the rainfall.
He stated that Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol, who is now in northern Karnataka, has been ordered to keep an eye on things in flood-affected districts until July 25. “We are prepared to confront any circumstance, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s full support,” he added.
