Captain Amarinder Singh’s long-time friend and Pakistani journalist Aroosa Alam, who is embroiled in a political squabble in the state, called the former Punjab chief minister’s critics “hyenas” on Tuesday and threatened to sue them for defamation.

 

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Punjab’s Deputy Chief Minister, announced last week that Alam’s alleged ISI ties would be investigated. Captain Amarinder retaliated, saying Alam had been “coming for 16 years with necessary GoI permissions” in tweets issued on his behalf by his media adviser Raveen Thukral.
