Captain Amarinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab, warned on Sunday against heinous and ill-informed remarks that could jeopardize the state’s and country’s peace and stability, referring to recent statements made by two of Navjot Sidhu’s advisers on sensitive national issues such as Kashmir and Pakistan.

Captain Amarinder advised Sidhu’s advisers to keep giving counsel to the PPCC president and not talk on subjects about which they plainly had little or no knowledge and had no comprehension of the repercussions of their comments, according to a news release released by the Chief Minister’s Office.

This was in response to Sidhu’s adviser Pyare Lal Garg’s recent questioning of the chief minister’s condemnation of Pakistan and another Sidhu aide, Malwinder Singh Mali’s earlier comments on Kashmir. Both have lately been recruited as advisers by Sidhu.
