Dr. Ashok Panagariya, a prominent neurologist and Padma Shri laureate, died of post-Covid complications on Friday. He was around seventy-one. For several days Dr. Panagariya has been on the ventilation support. In the last two days, his state worsened, and he died Friday, sources of the hospital stated.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences for his loss and stated that his groundbreaking contribution to the medical profession will help future generations of physicians and researchers.
“Dr. Ashok Panagariya established himself as an exceptional neurologist. His revolutionary contribution in medicine will help future generations of physicians and researchers. I’m saddened by his death. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
