Students at the Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar and the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) are living in fear after the Jammu and Kashmir Police filed two separate FIRs on Monday against hostel wardens, college management, and students for allegedly celebrating Pakistan’s victory in Sunday’s T-20 World Cup match and raising “pro-Pakistan slogans.”

The FIRs were filed based on videos, according to sources, but the police are still investigating. A source said: “Police are checking whether the videos are fabricated or real.”
