The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ is going to interconnect with the state education secretaries tomorrow, May 17. The meeting with the secretaries will be held virtually at 11 am. The aim of the meeting is to review the COVID-19 situation, online education, and work around National Education Policy (NEP).

Mr. Nishank tweeted,”I will be virtually attending the meeting with State Education Secretaries on 17th May, 2021 at 11 AM”.

He further added,”The objective of the meeting is to review the #COVID situation, online education, and work around NEP”.

It is also expected that the Education Minister will review the preparation made by the education departments of the states to tackle with the ongoing COVID-19 situation and how the students could continue theie online education despite of the challenges faced by them due to the pandemic.

Due to the second wave of the coronavirus outbreak, the ministry has cancelled CBSE class 10 board exam and postponed the exams for the class 12 students. The meeting is most likely to address questions regarding the upcoming CBSE Class 12 and other board exam dates and also the mode of these exams.
