As per data updated by the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 2,897 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,31,10,586, while active cases fell to 19,494. According to today’s figures, the death toll has risen to 5,24,157, including 54 new deaths.
As per the government, active cases are for 0.05 percent of total infections, with a national COVID-19 recovery rate of 98.74 percent. In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 143 cases. According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 0.95 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.82 percent.
