With Covid-19’s newest mutation Delta Plus taking its first victim, an 80-year-old woman from Ratnagiri, the Maharashtra government has opted to tighten unlocking regulations. There are presently 20 additional active Delta Plus variant instances in the state. The Maharashtra government has reported that while Delta and Delta Plus strains of coronavirus and a possibly forthcoming third wave cannot be put at risk, the whole RT-PCR and not rapid antigen testing are crucial factors.
