According to Union Health Ministry statistics published on Wednesday, India gained 43,733 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 3,06,63,665, while active cases decreased to 4,59,920.
The number of active cases has dropped to 4,59,920, accounting for 1.50 percent of overall infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has strengthened to 97.18 percent, according to statistics updated at 8 a.m.
In addition, 19,07,216 tests were performed on Tuesday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 detection tests performed in the country to 42,33,32,097.
