Now booking train tickets is going to be very easy. In view of the convenience of passengers, IRCTC has started its payment gateway along with upgrading its website. This will eliminate dependency from third party payment gateways. At the same time, the time taken to pay at a bank’s payment gateway for booking tickets will be saved. Apart from this, if a passenger cancels his ticket, his refund will also come to the account immediately.Under IRCTC iPay, a feature has been introduced to immediately refund money to users using the IRCTC website and mobile apps. In this facility, a user has to give mandate only once for debit from his UPI bank account or other means of payment. Then that payment instrument will be authorized for further transactions. With this autopay facility of IRCTC, the ticket booking process will be speeded up. If the ticket is also canceled under any circumstances, refund will also come to the passenger’s account immediately. After this, passengers will not have to wait for three to four days for a refund. IRCTC says that it has upgraded its user interface under the Prime Minister’s vision of self-reliant India. Only then has this internet ticketing website become one of the largest ecommerce websites in Asia Pacific. Since 83 per cent of the total reserve tickets of Indian Railways are booked on it, it is improving even further. Now moving a step further, IRCTC IP has been launched.
