The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) may have separated itself from the Nihangs, who reportedly lynched a man at a farm rally venue on the Delhi-Haryana border on Friday, but it has now come to light that members of the martial Sikh order addressed the farmers from the stage at Singhu multiple times.
The SKM, an umbrella body farm union with 32 members from Punjab that has been spearheading the agitation against farm laws at the Delhi border for nearly 11 months, claimed on Friday that the man’s lynching was “an internal matter of the Nihang Sikhs” and had nothing to do with the farmers’ movement, which is not religious.
