On Wednesday, Bhagwant Mann was ushered in as Punjab’s Chief Minister. Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office and secrecy to him. The oath-taking event has been held at Bhagat Singh’s village, Khatkar Kalan. The swearing-in event was attended by all Delhi AAP leaders, especially Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party has won the Punjab Assembly elections by a landslide.
AAP holds 92 seats in Punjab’s 117-seat legislature. Simultaneously, Congress won 18 seats, the Akali Dal three, and the BJP two. This time, the AAP ran on Bhagwant Mann’s behalf in the election. He was also a two-time Member of Parliament from Sangrur.
