With immediate effect, the Bharatiya Janata Party has removed party leader and former MLC Vikram Randhawa from all party positions, including that of the BJP secretary for Jammu and Kashmir. His decision comes in the aftermath of his divisive remarks towards Muslims.
Vikram Randhawa was previously charged with uttering disparaging remarks about Kashmiri Muslims by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The FIR was registered after a video of Vikram Randhawa making insulting statements about Muslims in the aftermath of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup victory over India went viral on social media.
