Ashima Goyal, a well-known economist, expressed confidence in India’s economy, claiming that it is ready to recover faster from epidemic lows. Despite the tremendous shock of Covid-19, she stated in an interview with PTI that India’s macroeconomy is healthier and more set for quicker growth than it has been in a long time. The fact that the economy recovered faster than projected from both the first and second waves indicates the economy’s fundamental strengths.
Rajiv Kumar of the NITI Aayog predicts a healthy economy on the back of quick vaccinations, infrastructure investments, and increased agricultural output due to excellent monsoons. Goyal also mentioned how the government’s reinvigorated infrastructure drive is helping the economy.
