Jairam Thakur, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, paid a visit to the landslide site in Kinnaur to assess the status of the rescue operation. According to Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq, four more remains were discovered on Thursday, bringing the total number of bodies found to 14.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and local police and home guards are also involved in the rescue mission. Thakur had earlier undertaken an airborne survey of the Nugulsari area, where a landslide buried a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus and damaged a truck and four cars on Wednesday afternoon.
