Kerala has verified 19 cases of the Zika virus, raising worries among officials and residents in the state as well as those in surrounding states. A pregnant mother from Thiruvananthapuram and a 22-month-old toddler are among the patients.

Since then, the Union Health Ministry has dispatched a six-person team to the southern state to evaluate the health.

Many persons who are sick with the Zika virus do not show any symptoms. Furthermore, the disease’s symptoms are typically modest. Per the World Health Organization, these include temperature, acne, headache, conjunctivitis (red eyes), malaise, and joint discomfort.
