Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inquired about the condition in the state due to the severe rainfall on October 17.
The chief minister further directed that police, the SDRF, and other concerned personnel is maintained on high alert at important locations, according to the CMO. He stated that the Char Dham Yatra route should be approached with caution. In the following days, Uttarakhand is set to have a lot of rain. On October 17 and 18, the regional meteorological center issued a red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rains in areas of Uttarakhand.
