As per a trademark application submitted by TikTok’s parent corporation, ByteDance, the app might make a reappearance in India shortly. Due to security reasons, the video clip app was deemed illegal last year, along with 58 other Chinese applications.
TikTok was among the most famous applications in India, with the greatest number of consumers.
ByteDance has registered a trademark with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks.
It was discovered by informant Mukul Sharma, who posted an image of it on Twitter. The trademark was filed under the term “TickTock” and in Class 42, which is described as “scientific and technical services and related research and design; industry assessment and research services; product development of computer hardware.”
