‘Shouldn’t Rahul Gandhi denounce the attack on Kapil Sibal’s house?’ says Javed Akhtar

Javed Akhtar, the poet and lyricist who was recently in the news for comparing the RSS to the Taliban, condemned the attack on Congress leader Kapil Sibal’s house in New Delhi on Friday, saying that those who attacked Sibal’s house for expressing an opinion about the Congress party’s working process are the same people who criticize the Modi government for “curbing freedom of expression.”

Javed Akhtar said that “Shouldn’t Rahul Gandhi condemn these hooligans in the strongest words? ”

The ‘hooliganism’ outside Kapil Sibal’s residence in response to his remark that G-23, the breakaway Congress leadership group, is not ‘Jee Huzoor 23,’ has essentially split the party into two camps: those who question the high command and those who support it.
