Remdesivir, the essential drug in the fight against Covid-19 was recently found to be scarce when the country was hit with another wave of the pandemic. Now, as the need of hour demands, the production has been increased from 38L to 119L per month.
The license has been granted to 7 domestic manufacturers and all of them were asked to ramp up the production quickly. The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in a statement has called this the result of combined efforts of the government and the manufacturers.
