Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack on an Assam Rifles convoy in Manipur on Saturday, saying that their sacrifice would be remembered forever.
“Strongly condemn the attack on the Assam Rifles convoy in Manipur. I pay homage to those soldiers and family members who have been martyred today. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten,” PM Modi wrote on Twitter.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of sadness,” he said.
Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, expressed his sorrow over the convoy attack and promised that the criminals will be brought to justice as quickly as possible.
