On Saturday, an Amry officer and a jawan were killed in a landmine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kasmir’s Rajouri district. A mystery explosion occurred during routine patrolling in a forward region in the Lam sector of Noweshra; it is thought to be a mine blast, according to government sources.

Confirming the two fatalities PRO Defence Lt Col Devender Anand said, “On October 30, during an area domination patrol in Nowshera Sector of District Rajouri (J&K), a mine blast occurred wherein, two soldiers suffered critical injuries and later succumbed to their injuries. Another soldier who received injuries was evacuated and is under treatment.”
