James Anderson has become the oldest fast bowler in the history of cricket English test. In the current match between England and New Zealand in Birmingham, the right-arm fast bowler won its 162nd test cap.
This record had previously been held by former captain Sir Alastair Cook of England, with 161 test appearances on his behalf. The Lord’s Test record was set by James Anderson and now the left-handed bathman has been eclipsed.
Stuart Broad, Anderson’s bowling partner, is also closer to Cook. Broad currently plays its 148th test against Blackcaps.
