The Ministry of Health has negotiated a scheme to reserve 30 crore COVID-19 doses of vaccine with Hyderabad’s vaccine producer, Biological-E. In a statement published on Thursday, it was said that from August-December 2021 these dosages for vaccines will be made and stored using Biological-E. The Health Ministry would grant a prepayment of Rs.1,500 cr for this reason.
The Biological-E vaccine is now been clinically tested for Phase 3 after encouraging findings have been reported in clinical studies Phase 1 and 2. In the next few months, the RBD protein vaccine subunit will likely be accessible. From preclinical through phase three trials, the vaccine candidate was financed by the government.
