Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health, will preside over a review meeting on Monday, officials said, as dengue cases in Delhi continue to rise alarmingly. According to the officials, the meeting will begin at 10 a.m. During the meeting, the health minister will also discuss how the Centre can help the Delhi government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), to reduce the increase in cases.
Officials from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program will also attend the meeting (NVBDCP). Every year, when the monsoon arrives, the city experiences a dengue outbreak, which usually ends when the winter season arrives. However, the city has seen a significant increase in cases this year, which is still ongoing.
