Madhya Pradesh recorded the first fatality from the Delta plus version of Covid-19 in the Ujjain district on Wednesday. In the state, five reported cases of Delta-Plus variant have been recorded, three from Bhopal and two from Ujjain district. State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang stated, “Five cases of Delta-Plus variant have been reported in the state so far; one patient has died.” The state is devising a strategy to deal with the situation.”
The four other patients are believed to have made a full recovery. As per information, their samples were obtained in May for genome sequencing and later proved positive for the Delta-Plus variation.
