According to news agency ANI, Union home minister Amit Shah, who is currently in Jammu and Kashmir, would visit the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Lethpora, Pulwama district, on Monday. Before concluding his tour to the union area, he will eat dinner with the soldiers and spend the night at the camp.

On February 14, 2019, a vehicle-borne suicide bomber assaulted a convoy of vehicles transporting security officers on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Lethpora. The incident resulted in the deaths of forty members of the CRPF.
