Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Uttar Pradesh Diwas said that the state firmly belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party and called upon the people to once again give the party a strong mandate. Addressing a programme in Lucknow, Shah said Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a growth engine for the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the state.
He stated that since 2014, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a transformation in governance, law and order, infrastructure and public welfare. According to Shah, the development model implemented by the Modi government at the national level and the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has become a benchmark for the entire country.
The Home Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is no longer known for instability and poor administration, but for rapid development, improved security and strong governance. He added that initiatives taken by the state government have strengthened the confidence of investors and created new employment opportunities, especially for the youth.
Shah highlighted that the BJP government has focused on inclusive development, benefiting farmers, women, youth and marginalised communities. He said several welfare schemes have directly reached the poor, ensuring transparency and eliminating corruption.
Praising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Shah said his leadership has played a crucial role in strengthening the state’s administrative structure and restoring public trust. He added that Uttar Pradesh is now contributing significantly to India’s overall growth and progress.
During the programme, Shah also interacted with party leaders and officials and discussed future strategies to further accelerate development in the state. He expressed confidence that with continued public support, Uttar Pradesh will remain on the path of progress and help India achieve its long term goals.
