One night and the flood of Tikait tears, it not only set the stage for the peasant movement again, but also showed a new ray of hope to the opposition parties of Uttar Pradesh. In just seven-eight hours, the understanding of many political parties started changing about Rakesh Tikait. The way the leaders of various parties gathered on the platform of Tikait in Ghazipur, it was said that everyone’s foot in the elephant’s foot.Dr. Anand Kumar, a former professor and political analyst at the Department of Sociology at JNU, said that opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh, through Tikait, are busy creating new equations to surround the fort of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Provided that they help the farmers with discipline and clear mind. If these new equations are effectively worked out, then in 2022, BJP’s Fire Brand Chief Minister ‘Yogi’ can be given a tough fight.
After the Red Fort incident on January 26, when there were attempts to suppress the peasant movement from all four sides, there was a feeling that now this movement will remain history. On the night of Thursday 28 January, when the Rakesh Tikait made an emotional appeal crying on the Ghazipur border, the farmers movement turned from there. As a result, the police could not dare to arrest Rakesh Tikait.

The next day i.e. on 29th January, the number of farmers at Ghazipur picket site again became very good. Not only this, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary first sat near Tikait. Jayant and AAP MP Sanjay Singh went to the Kisan Mahapanchayat organized in Muzaffarnagar by Rakesh’s elder brother Naresh Tikait. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also called up and inquired about the health of Rakesh Tikait.

Earlier on the same night, former Congress party president Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi also supported Rakesh Tikait through their tweets. After that Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu sat next to Tikait. Former Haryana Chief Minister CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s son and Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda also sat on the dais of Rakesh Tikait. Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia did not lag behind. They too went to Ghazipur to meet Tikait. Some prominent peasants of the peasant movement like Yogendra Yadav and Darshanpal reached the dharna site and revealed the new strategy of the struggle.
Political analyst Dr. Anand Kumar says, today the question is not about religion or culture. The question is about life, it is about bread. If it is not, then where will other things work. They can be useful only when life is saved. The central government had said that by 2022, the income of farmers will double.

After the emotional appeal of Tikait, people’s confidence in the movement is coming again.
In the current situation, the opposition parties did not have the strength. As Anand Kumar, questions are being raised on the judiciary. In such a situation, the path of movement is now visible. BJP has realized that the distance between opposition parties may be reduced in future. As far as Uttar Pradesh is concerned, it will depend on various political parties whether they can take meaningful advantage of the Kisan movement. The conduct of the parties will play a big role in this. They have to distance themselves from their religion or caste equations.

At the same time, it will also be seen that those parties are coming towards the farmers as needed, or they will go with them as partners. This has to be taken care of a lot. The mind of the farmers is very clear. No one can commit hooliganism in their name or with a cover. Today Rakesh Tikait has become a ‘support for drowning straws’ for many political parties. Farmers lack platform, while political parties have the trust and confidence of the people. If they all come to the farmers’ platform with a sense of honesty and discipline, then in 2022, Yogi can be given a tough competition.
