Sumy, a city in northern Ukraine, has been evacuated of all Indian students, totaling roughly 570. The overall number of individuals evacuated from Sumy is about 600. There are 580 pupils in all, including 20 Indians on work permits. In addition, 17 Nepalese, Pakistanis, Tunisian, and Bangladeshese citizens were evacuated.
Several micro teams of Indian officials were dispatched to the eastern area of Ukraine to assist the Indians, who were largely academics seeking refuge in universities and shelters. The pupils were also transported by buses and cars. Late Sunday, the Indian embassy in Kyiv announced that a team of diplomats had been positioned in Poltava.
