According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and state BJP President Sadanand Tanawde on Tuesday. The conference was called after exit polls released on Monday showed the Bharatiya Janata Party with a tiny lead in the state, prompting discussion about possible post-election possibilities.
Sawant assured the journalists after the conference that the BJP will form a government in Goa with a “full majority.” “We’ll probably get 20 or more seats. In addition, if necessary, we will enlist the help of independent candidates. People voted for us because of improvements that the BJP government has brought about,” he explained.
