Zomato, the online food delivery company, on Wednesday set up a new safety feature enabling users to see the body temperature of their delivery partner on its app.
Online food delivery, is seen as a ray of hope in the economic gloom set in by the coronavirus pandemic. This is likely to take a massive set back in the National Capital after news of a pizza delivery agent testing COVID-19 positive in south Delhi went viral and raised alarm bells for the people.
Analyzing the severity of the situation and assuming a decline in their online orders, food delivery platforms and many restaurants have reached out to their customers and reassured them that all the precautions are been taken at their end for the safety and well-being of their consumers.
Zomato stated that they are regularly training their delivery staff on safety and hygiene in addition to providing them masks.
