The number of COVID-19 active cases is 11201. As many as 1748 patients have been cured

The total figure of Coronavirus positive cases has reached to 13,387 in India and the death toll now marks 437, as per the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry said on Friday. Out of 11201 COVID-19 active cases, 1748 patients have been cured, it added. Maharashtra is leading the chart with most number of cases – 3,081, followed by Delhi on second position with 1,640 cases.
There are 325 districts in India which have no recorded cases of COVID19, Lav Agrawal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, said during a daily media briefing on Thursday. The Center released a list of 170 ‘hotspot districts’ including six metros – Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Cities such as Jaipur and Agra are also in the list of places where the number of Covid-19 patients was high. The government said that out of the 170 hotspots, 47 shows cluster outbreaks.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has raised questions over the Center’s decision to extend the nationwide lockdown. During a video press conference, he said lockdown was like a ‘pause button, not a solution to coronavirus’.
