On Wednesday President Joe Biden said he was hopeful that a cycle of violence between Israelis and Palestinians would end soon, after he had a phone conversation with PM Netanyahu.
The reason behind the Biden’s optimism was not explained. He said his national security team had been in frequent contact with parts of Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and tha UAE to try to bring about a resolution to the conflict.
State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement, “the rocket attacks and emphasized the need to de-escalate tensions and bring the current violence to an end.”
