There is a deadlock between the government and farmers regarding agricultural laws. On Saturday, the 5th round of talks was also inconclusive. In today’s meeting, the government asked for more time from the farmers. Now on December 9, the government and farmer leaders will hold talks again at 11 am.
After the meeting, the farmer leaders said that the central government has said that they will send us a proposal on 9 December. We (farmers) will discuss this among themselves, after which there will be a meeting with them on the same day. At the same time, farmer leader Buta Singh said that we will obey the law only by canceling it. We are not going to accept less than this.
The farmers are now seeking an answer from the government in a yes or no. Today, during the fifth round of talks at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, the farmer leaders sat quietly. And the minister went out to talk among themselves. The farmer leaders were sitting on a page writing yes or no i.e. yes or no. The leaders of the farmers organization sat in front of the ministers with Yes or No Play cards.
Farmers’ organizations told the government that we have one year’s material. The government has to decide what she wants. Farmer leaders told the government that you should tell whether you will fulfill our demand or not.
