In a new attack on Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal chief Sameer Wankhede, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik said on Thursday he will not stop until the official is imprisoned. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader has accused Wankhede of running an extortion racket in collusion with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Malik accused Wankhede of filing bogus cases against celebrities and predicted that the NCB official would be fired within a year.
News agency ANI quoted Nawab Malik as saying: “They (BJP) have a puppet – Wankhede. He raises bogus cases against people. I challenge that Wankhede that he’ll lose his job within a year. You came to jail us, people of this nation won’t be silent without seeing you behind bars. We have evidence of bogus cases.”
