According to the national Investigative Committee law enforcement organization, at least eight people were murdered after a student opened fire at a university in the Russian city of Perm.
Shortly after beginning the attack on Monday morning at Perm State University, roughly 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) east of Moscow, the suspect was apprehended. The shooter has been recognized as a university student, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee. It has launched a murder investigation into the event.
