The Odisha government on Saturday granted permission for the re-opening of Anganwadi centers and the mobilization of only 500 people, amid a reduction in new cases of corona virus infection. However, strict adherence to Kovid-19 security measures will have to be ensured during this period. This information was given in a notification. Accordingly, the Education Department has also been asked to take a decision on the date regarding reopening of schools from ninth to 12th standard. The administration has also allowed theaters to start operations under the standard operating procedure issued by the central and state governments. This relaxation is part of the unlock process of the state government, which will remain in effect till the end of February. According to the notification, up to 500 people can participate in social, religious, political, sports, entertainment, educational and cultural events for which permission has to be obtained from the district administration. Anganwadi centers will be opened from February 1.
