The vaccination campaign started in the country on January 16, since then more than 49 lakh people have been vaccinated with the corona vaccine. Of this, 97 per cent expressed satisfaction with the Covid-19 vaccine, while 8,563 people experienced severe adverse reactions. This figure is 11 percent of the people involved in vaccination.
Of the people who have been vaccinated so far, 37 lakh people have received feedback, but only 5,12,128 of them have responded. Of those who responded, 97.4 per cent said that adequate social distancing was done at the vaccinated booths.
98.4 percent people were informed about this process. 97.1 percent people were asked to wait for 30 minutes after getting vaccinated and 97.4 percent were found satisfied with the vaccination process. Only 8,563 of these people experienced severe adverse events.
In addition, 34 people were hospitalized. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that some patients have died even after being vaccinated by Covid-19 but the vaccine has nothing to do with it. Post-mortem of patients who died after vaccination has been done and state and national immunization committees are reviewing the data.
The government informed that a second dose will be given on 13 February. The government hopes that 50 percent of health workers will be vaccinated by Friday. The Health Secretary informed that at present, vaccination campaign is going on in 5,912 public and 1,239 private hospitals and centers in the country. Apart from this, it was told that the data of beneficiaries is being protected through the Covin system.
