The clashes between around 3,000 young doctors and the administration of Madhya Pradesh came on Saturday, their sixth day, with physicians refusing to cease the protest, despite the unlawful hit by the High Court.
This has intensified since the state administration has handed eviction notices to the physicians who withdrew to abandon their hostels on Saturday.
“We are going to continue our nonviolent demonstration. They urged us to leave the government dormitory in Bhopal as well as to pay bond charges (which would run in lakh rupees). Why not issue a written order enhancing our grant if they can provide us with evictions notices,” said Ankita Tripathi, secretary of the Madhya Pradesh JUDA Association, to PTI news agency.
