The state of Madhya Pradesh is considering legal alternatives to prevent Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s book Sunrise over Ayodhya from being banned for associating “strong version” Hindutva with ISIS and Boko Haram. The book has sparked outrage, with allegations of defamation of Hindutva leveled against the senior Congressman.
“Congress talks of dividing the country and Salman Khurshid has taken the same idea forward in his book Sunrise Over Ayodhya. We will take opinion from legal experts about banning this book in Madhya Pradesh,” state Home Minister Narottam Mishra said Friday. Calling it a “very condemnable book”, Mishra said, “these people do not leave any opportunity to break Hindutva, divide Hindus into castes.”
