Meerut | A 25-year-old man was killed in a firing incident in Meerut on Thursday afternoon according to local police. The deceased, identified as Jagdish also known as Akku, was a resident of Mant in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat stated that the victim was traveling on his motorcycle when two men and a woman on another bike allegedly opened fire at him. Witnesses reported that the victim lost control of his vehicle after being shot and crashed into an approaching tractor, resulting in his death at the scene.
The motorcycle suffered severe damage in the accident. Police have sent the body for postmortem examination and have begun an investigation to identify and locate the attackers.
