Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has resigned. Deshmukh has gone to submit his resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Anil Deshmukh was the Home Minister from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) quota. Deshmukh will submit his resignation to the Chief Minister instead of the Governor.
Let me tell you that today the Bombay High Court has ordered a CBI inquiry. This decision has been given by the High Court on the PIL of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh. Parambir Singh accused Anil Deshmukh of giving a target for recovery and demanded a CBI inquiry in this regard.
The demand for Anil Deshmukh’s resignation was arising only after Parambir Singh’s allegations. Now he has resigned after the decision of the High Court.

Parambir Singh was removed from the post of Mumbai Police Commissioner on March 17, after not handling the Antilia case and Sachin Waje case as expected by the government. After being removed from the post, Parambir Singh wrote a letter to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on 20 March.
In this letter, he said that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had asked police officer Sachin Waje to raise Rs 100 crore from bars and restaurants.
On February 25, a suspicious car was found near Antilia, the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. In this, 20 sticks of gelatin were recovered. Initially, the Mumbai Police was investigating this case. The NIA is investigating this case. The NIA arrested Sachin Waje on 13 March.
