Several Agra lawyer’s organizations have decided to withhold legal assistance to three Kashmiri students charged with sedition at an engineering college here. The students were charged under the Act, which goes back to the British era, for allegedly posting a WhatsApp status on October 24 congratulating Pakistan players following the team’s victory over India in a T20 cricket match.

“We will not provide any legal help to those who are involved in the anti-national activity or anti-social activity, Nitin Verma, President of the Young Lawyers’ Association, Agra, told PTI.
