Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U) 2.0 and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 were launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on Friday, October 1, 2021. The Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 were created to realize the goal of making all of India’s cities garbage-free and water-secure.
The prime minister also stated that this is the second phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 and AMRUT 2.0 and that both of these missions are critical in realizing BR Ambedkar’s dreams.
