India has witnessed 41,383 fresh cases and 507 new fatalities due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The report took the caseload 31,257,720 and death rates to 418,987. The Union Health Ministry and Family Welfare also reported that 38,652 people have recovered in the 24-hour and the total number of recoveries is 30,429,339 across the country.
The official report stated that 415 million vaccine doses have been administered till now. Among them, 328,716,212 have received the first dose and the remaining 86,756,243 have received both doses.
Earlier, the government of India at parliament showcased a written statement where they claimed no death happened in the second wave due to the lack of oxygen. Besides the central government many other states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have claimed that no Covid-19 deaths were reported due to the shortage of the life saving gas.I
